the difference between print on demand

there are tons of print-on-demand companies out there but there are really only two differences that make this kind of companies stand apart yes there's t-shirt quality-price shipping customer service and all of that kind of things to factor in as well but we're not talking about that because in terms of what we're talking about that's the smaller less important factor that you have to consider what we're talking about today.
let's get right into it when picking a print on demand company to upload your products to you may be thinking redbubble amazon teespring etsy printful with etsy whichever it is in fact you might upload to all of them but there's really only one fundamental difference between these print-on-demand companies,
those that drive organic traffic and those that don't drive organic traffic it's as simple as that let me explain a little bit further organic traffic is free traffic that the company or website like redbubble for example have sent to your product and then inevitably ended up getting you sales now these sales shouldn't have cost you anything in money time or effort.

the only effort was designing the t-shirt or whatever product you upload but designing and then uploading the product the act of getting sales and driving traffic when it's organic it's done entirely by the company so you don't have to do anything you can just sit back and let it work, i know this sounds absolutely amazing and why would you even consider using another type of company that doesn't do this well it has its issues and limitations,

when a company doesn't drive organic traffic your sales are fully reliant on a few factors how good you are at social media word of mouth sending traffic via ads or anything but basically it's relying on you to put the work and put the effort in, and send traffic to that platform rather than that platform just you know having traffic already on it that's the difference between organic traffic and non-organic traffic.

i want to tell you the pros and the cons of both types of companies and as well as that i want to give you a list of the companies ones that do organic traffic and ones that don't do organic traffic so that you can clearly see you know who you're getting into bed with which company you're going to be doing business with starting with the pros of organic traffic,

well free sales who doesn't want free sales it's also quite targeted because most likely people have searched for a specific keyword that you've put in on your t-shirt , and that is how they found you now there is a possibility that you put random popular keywords in your t-shirt just to be ranking better in which case it's not actually that targeted but assuming you're doing the normal thing and putting the right keywords in then,

it's actually quite targeted the main benefit is the fact that there's basically zero barrier of entry for you to get into the business you don't need any money to start selling on, you know a platform that drives organic traffic it's it's just like that you don't really need any marketing knowledge and in fact i would argue you don't need that much design knowledge nowadays because it's very possible literally just to sell a t-shirt with some writing on it it happens people do it the whole time.

so the barrier of entry is very low now let's discuss the cons well the first and major con of doing it this way is the competition you'll be entering your design into a sea of pretty much identical designs and it's going to be really hard if not just a gamble as to whether or not a customer picks your design over someone else's so standing out is almost impossible and i guess being on the first page is really good i mean that will get you a lot of sales obviously,

because people will see you first but at the end of the day getting sales on a platform that has a marketplace is like rolling the dice because literally on a marketplace like redbubble or any of them really you see the same design over and over and over again and it's just depending on where the mouse for the customer ends up and clicks that's,

the one they're going to end up with you also have other factors like how much each person is charging but with a lot of companies you'll see the prices of the t-shirts are pretty much the same with all of the sellers, so i wouldn't even factor that in so much and lastly ranking is really hard, you can put up hundreds if not thousands of designs on redbubble and never rank for any of them now this isn't the best example of a con just because no business is easy.
okay everything is going to be hard whether or not it's print on demand amazon affiliate marketing youtube, not organic search it's always going to be really hard so i wouldn't even properly include this one now the pros for sending your own traffic rather than relying on organic traffic well the first one is you are sending targeted traffic directly to your product page or directly to your shop they don't see other competition they see your design and your design only so you don't have to worry about someone landing on your design and seeing a hundred similar designs,
if they like it, they will, buy it another cool benefit is you have full control of the website you're using depending on the platform if you're using a platform like xyro or shopify or even maybe teespring a bit then you have full control kind of what your platform will look like
so you can do split testing on pages to see what pages convert better you could try out different things you can have reviews on the page you can pretty much do whatever it is you want to do to increase the conversion rate when someone lands on your page and actually buys your products another huge benefit and i would say this is probably the biggest benefit of them all is simultaneously whilst you know trying to get sales to your print on demand business
at the end of the day you need traffic to get sales so you have to make a decision do you want to run a business where you're driving that traffic or you're relying on someone else to drive that traffic

there's no wrong or right answer here you just have to decide what it is you want to do
